APPLICATION INFORMATION
You may apply for as many scholarships as you wish, but can only be awarded a maximum of one. A selection committee will look at each application, and award awards to those who have shown both academic merit and financial need. The deadline to apply is March 1st, 2022. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
The Financial Aid Process
The first step in applying for financial aid is to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) once you complete your FAFSA that you’ll need to provide to schools you plan on applying to. If you’re receiving any type of student financial aid, whether grants or loans, it’s important that you fill out a FAFSA every year.
Many students neglect doing so and later find they aren’t eligible because they never applied—so make sure it’s not something that slips through your radar. The second step is filling out an application with each school you want to attend; not all schools require one but most do, especially private institutions where tuition costs can be very high.
Acceptance Requirements
Scholarships at Fairleigh Dickinson University are awarded to full-time and part-time students who qualify. Full-time undergraduate scholarships will be awarded based on a student’s overall GPA, work experience, professional references, and letters of recommendation.
Part-time undergraduate scholarships will be awarded based on a student’s overall GPA and credit hours completed by each semester. For example, a first semester freshman with a 3.5 GPA and taking 10 credits per semester would be eligible for two semesters of award; one in fall 2023/spring 2023 and another in fall 2022/spring 2023.
