Next Steps
You’ve decided you want to study at Lakehead, but you’re not from Canada. This means that you will be considered an international student in your application. If you don’t have permanent residency or Canadian citizenship, or aren’t eligible for a study permit, your next step is to apply for one of these permits through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). The easiest way to do so is online through their website.
This may take some time, so it’s a good idea to start as soon as possible; otherwise you could find yourself short on time when school begins and end up having to pay more out-of-pocket costs than originally planned.
